All cabinetry is of the finest select black cherry with exquisite burl veneers used
extensively. Inlaid marquetry is used liberally and is sometimes embellished with
gold and precious gemstones. This is most notable on the jewelry cabinets. All
hardware is of the highest quality, including solid brass drawer knobs, Brusso
solid brass stop hinges and antique brass hooks. Ball bearings are used in the
spindles for a smooth operation. UHMW tape is used as drawer runners inside the
cabinet for ease of movement. Plush velvets are used to line the cabinet interiors,
Methods of cabinet
construction include doweling, tongue and groove, mortise and tenon, biscuit and
spline. All work is stained using analine dyes which give the most vibrant and
permanent of colors. Finishes are a combination of tung oil/varnish and
polyurethane. Numerous coats are applied and are then hand rubbed to a lustrous,
beautiful sheen. A protective coat of paste wax is then applied. All ordered work
can be of any color desired. Samples will be sent. All wall mounted cabinetry have
keyhole slots in the back of cabinets that hang on two screws placed in wall.
Toggler type anchors and screws are provided. Hanging instructions provided. All
doors without handles have touch magnetic catches. To open, push in on doors
and they spring open.
